Maternity Tankini Swimwear

When you are pregnant it's a hard decision to figure out what style maternity swimsuit to buy -Bikini, tankini, or one-piece? In today's maternity swimwear there are numerous options to choose from. A bikini is a bit sexy and allows plenty of room for your belly to grow while a tankini or halterkini provides belly coverage but still has movement. The one-piece is great choice when looking for more coverage and can be sophisticated yet trendy at the same time. All of these styles are great, but it really comes down to choosing the cut and style in which you feel the most comfortable and in which you look your best. Although I love all these styles, a personal favorite of mine is the tankini-coverage combined with its sexiness.
If you are not quite sure what style of maternity swimwear you are interested in, a tankini is a great option to consider. First, if you are not comfortable showing as much skin as you would in a bikini, a tankini provides that extra bit of coverage. However, that extra coverage is loose and gently flows over your body, allowing plenty of room for your belly to grow. This ensures that it will fit throughout various stages of your pregnancy. Secondly, while maintaining that additional coverage, a tankini is still sexy. The extra belly coverage will still allow a bit of your belly to peek through which can be the perfect medium for many expectant mothers when deciding between a bikini and a one piece. The tankini comes in a variety of styles, ranging from a halter tie to a strapless top. With all these cuts in various colors and festive patterns on the market today, you are sure to find the perfect style tankini for you!
One of my favorite designers of maternity swimwear is Maternal America, as they perfectly combine fashion and fit. Stylish cuts and great colors are their signature, and this is seen in one of their most popular swimsuits, the Jenni Tankini. This tankini comes in a gorgeous, vibrant fabric which is sure to make you feel refreshed! The halter tie at the neck is stylish and practical as it can be adjusted to fit perfectly. With adjustable tie bottoms, this swimsuit is both comfortable and stylish. Another great tankini from Maternal America is the Flutter Halterkini. With an adjustable halter tie and padded bra, a great fit is ensured. The mesh fabric which covers the belly adds a sexy feel to this great tankini along with a bit of flirty see-though which is something of a bikini hybrid. The variety of color options ensures that there is something for everyone!
Another fantastic maternity swimwear designer is Prego Maternity which is known for their fantastic fit and style. Prego Matenity has some wonderful tankini styles. Their designs are fashion-forward yet are made durably. When looking for a classic black swimsuit, try their Black Tie Halter. An adjustable halter top and tie bottoms allow the suit to be adjusted to your changing shape. Also, the bust support offered ensures you will be comfortable. Another great tankini option from Prego is the Black Dot Strapless Mini. This strapless tankini is super chic and cute! This style differs a bit from the usual tankini, as the top is cut longer to cover your belly and the bottom. However, the two piece design allows room to grow!
Belabumbum Maternity is known for both their lingerie and nightwear but is now a very popular designer or maternity swimwear as well. They have vibrant pattern and color styles what are both cute and functional. One of their most popular designs is the Nursing Swimwear Tankini, perfect for both nursing and maternity usage. Adjustable ties on the tank allow for a perfect fit, while discreet nursing access is available under the empire waist tie. Coming in black, red, and pink, this nursing and maternity tankini will fulfill your swimwear needs all summer long and the next summer too!

Overall, finding the right swimsuit for your body boils down to finding out what you are most comfortable in. A maternity tankini is a great way to go if you would like to show a bit more skin than a one piece offers but are not quite ready to wear a bikini. Find a style and color or pattern for you and you will be sure to enjoy sunshine and the water while you are pregnant!
